PeCAN is giving you the chance to visit an Open Home this winter! Local Energy Champions and volunteers in and around Petersfield will open their homes to the public, to demonstrate the green technologies they have installed and to help you explore the options available to you, to improve and reduce the heating and running costs of your home and in doing so reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.
Run by the charity Petersfield Climate Action Network (PeCAN), the Petersfield Area Open Homes scheme will see volunteers homes opened up to the public. This is an opportunity to explore the various options for green technologies and energy efficiency measures available to you. Each home will have different features, allowing you to see what the technology looks like and how it works, and offering you the chance to ask questions about installation, costs, and potential returns. We have especially chosen to open homes through the winter months to allow you to see firsthand , heat pumps and other heating technolgies running and see how they compare to a gas or oil heating system.
We hope that these homes will help de-mystify the technolgies involved and will inspire visitors in considering upgrading their homes and ultimately reduce the climate impact of home energy in our community.
