The village has no gas and when we moved in 18 months ago we wanted to move away from the oil fired boiler. Air source heat pumps sounded great but I couldn't find anywhere to put the external unit that didn't affect future garden / planting.
The property features a "Heat / Thermal Battery Technology" based heating system (Tepeo ZEB boiler)
The ZEB is powered by electricity and works like a battery to store energy as heat until it is needed. Typically there are no changes required to the radiators and pipework although you will need a hot water tank if you dont already have one.
Heat battery systems can be a good alternative to Air Source Heat Pumps where there maybe restrictions or difficulties specifying a heat pump but wanting an electric based heating option.
